Under the Test to Release scheme, travellers can choose to complete this additional PCR Covid-19 test on Day 5 of their mandatory 10 day quarantine. Results are delivered online within 24 hours of the laboratory receiving your sample. Any positive results will be genetically seqeuenced for variant surveillance. If the result is negative, self-isolation ends early.
This Day 5 test does not replace the mandatory arrival tests that travellers are required to complete on Day 2 and 8 after arriving in England. Please ensure you are following the UK Government's Guidelines and purchase the necessary arrival tests.

Which flight scheme is this test for?
Test and Release by Prenetics has been developed for the UK Test to Release for International Travel scheme. The scheme allows you to pay for a COVID-19 test to find out if you can reduce your self-isolation period after international travel.
What type of testing does Test and Release by Prenetics use?
Test and Release by Prenetics use RT-PCR tests to detect viral RNA of the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus. This is the same test that Prenetics use for the Premier League, England and Wales Cricket Board as well as many other businesses.
Is the test easy to do?
Yes, the test involves a simple swab to the mouth and nose. The test takes less than a minute to complete.
Can I take the test by myself?
Yes, it’s helpful to have a mirror so you can see where the swab is touching your mouth.
